Welcome

Experience, warmth and space to be heard.

Life can leave us feeling stuck in familiar patterns, overwhelmed by emotion, or disconnected from ourselves and others.

I offer a secure and caring environment where you can explore your inner world at your own pace. Our work is collaborative: we sit with what is happening, understand how patterns may have developed, and gently consider what can change or be accepted.

My background spans education, community projects, local authority work, schools, charitable organisations, the NHS and EAP services. I bring that breadth of experience to a small, personal private practice.

Where it supports the process, we can also draw on creative resources such as art or play. These are optional ways to explore what may be difficult to put into words.

A flexible, considered approach

Therapy shaped around you

There is no single formula. We’ll agree an approach that reflects your needs, goals and circumstances.

01

Psychodynamic therapy

Explore how earlier experiences and ways of relating may be shaping how you feel and respond today.

02

EMDR

A structured approach that can help you process distressing memories and reduce their emotional intensity.

03

Integrative & brief therapy

A tailored approach that can combine deeper exploration with practical, solution-focused work around a particular difficulty or goal.

04

Counselling supervision

A reflective, supportive space to think carefully about client work, professional development and therapeutic practice.

Questions

It’s natural to wonder.

If you have another question, we can talk it through before you decide anything.

Do I need to know which type of therapy I want?

No. You only need to tell me what has brought you to therapy. We can think together about whether open-ended, EMDR or more focused short-term work may suit you.

Is therapy confidential?

Yes. Confidentiality and its professional safeguarding limits will be clearly explained before we begin.

How many sessions will I need?

That depends on what you want from therapy. I offer both brief, time-limited work and open-ended therapy, and we will review our work together.

Can we meet online?

Yes. Online sessions are available for people in the UK, alongside face-to-face and telephone appointments.

Do you offer supervision?

Yes. Supervision sessions are offered face-to-face or online. Please get in touch to discuss current availability and whether Larraine’s approach fits your practice.
